For Your Body

You will be assessed by Drs. P. Sathyanarayanan and Suma Sathyanarayanan at Aditya Ayurvedic Hospital, be prescribed specific herbal medications to balance your doshas, and receive specific ayurvedic herbal treatments that address your unique condition. You will have the opportunity for daily consultations with Peter and your doctors regarding ayurveda in general, your specific health needs, and the appropriate ayurvedic treatments for you. Twice daily group yoga sessions are designed to allow you to balance your unique constitution and health concerns.

For Your Mind

The simultaneous experience of receiving ayurvedic health treatments, with daily yoga education and practice, and lectures on ayurveda, allows you to develop a deep understanding of the nature of healing through ayurveda and yoga. You will leave this retreat with a personalized plan for maintaining an ayurvedic/yogic approach to health when you return to your daily life. If you are a yoga teacher or health care provider, you will expand your knowledge of the ayurvedic approach to health care.

For Your Spirit

This will be an experience of deep healing, rarified teachings, and profound realizations. Guided pranayama and meditation, along with deeply embodied and reflective yoga asana practice each morning and afternoon, will support you to fully relax and restore while at Aditya. You will be encouraged to rest, to take time for contemplation, meditation, or prayer, to enjoy walks in the surrounding nature, and to write, draw, daydream, and sleep. This will be a time of connecting deeply with Spirit as the source of healing and rejuvenation.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience that is completely tailored to address your health, your questions, and your desire for understanding of the Self.

“Aditya is a very special, precious place. The unique and tranquil environment there allows for rest so that deep healing can take place. Everything is further enhanced by wholesome intentions. It really is beautiful.

This retreat reminded me to love myself, so in a very deep sense was a incredibly impacting lesson on loving kindness. I was able to do a lot of self reflection, and my clarity, even reflecting back on the course of my life’s events, was further enhanced by the daily ayurvedic treatments, daily lectures and yoga practice. I have newfound confidence and richness of enjoying the practice of yoga. I also have deeper self awareness. ”

“I don’t think I’ve ever felt better cared for, than I did at Aditya. The quality of the medicine is unparalleled - there is something extremely special about consuming a medicine on the same ground where it was prepared from plants that grow nearby. I experienced so much profound body and mind change in my life after my time in India - it’s an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. ”

— Amelia, 2014

“I definitely know that going through the PK has deepened my understanding of Peter’s teaching and of yoga in general, feeling so open and sensitive reminds me of how i felt after 10 days of Vipassana, and I remember thinking then how much more I felt I understood about the practice. I guess that is the point, to feel instead of think your way in... anyways, thank you so much for teaching and inviting people to Aditya, it has been/is a life changing experience. ”

— Alexandria, 2015

“My stay at Aditya and being a part of the program put on by Peter and Camille was a time of healing and rest that came into my life at the perfect time. I am forever thankful to Peter and Camille for providing such a beautiful and safe space for me to connect back to my body, spirit, and mental health. They are so kind and passionate about teaching and helping their students, and I feel so blessed to have met them and learn of their wisdom and guidance. I felt so safe and cared for as I took the time to rest and reflect on my life as I found the space to heal wounds I wasn’t fully conscious of before. I will always look back on my trip to India with them as such a special and needed time for me in my life.”

— Kenzie, 2018
